Garage Door Before & After in Fontana, CA

Talk is cheap in the garage door trade. Anyone can say they fix springs and quiet down openers. We’d rather show you. Every job below is the kind of call we take in Fontana, from the Jurupa Hills side to the neighborhoods off Sierra Avenue. The photo record we hand over at the end of every visit is what these pages are built from. Seeing the failed part, the completed repair, and the documentation that goes with it beats any claim we could type here.

Torsion Spring Replacement on a 16×7 Clopay Door

Broken torsion spring on a Clopay garage door in Fontana before replacement, and the new spring installed after
Before: torsion spring with a clean break at the coil. After: new spring wound to spec and balance-tested.

The torsion spring on this Clopay measured 0.225-inch wire diameter and snapped at the coil, not at the cone, which is what you see when the spring has simply reached the end of its 10,000-cycle lifespan. The door was stuck in the down position with the opener still trying to lift it, which had already started bending the top strut. We replaced both springs as a matched pair, swapped the strut, and rebalanced the door by hand before reconnecting the LiftMaster opener. The homeowner received photos of the snapped spring on the shaft before we quoted the replacement, per Clause 4 of The Haven Standard.

Garage Door Opener Logic Board Failure, Now Up and Running

Garage door opener logic board before and after replacement in Fontana
Before: opener hummed but wouldn’t move the trolley. After: new logic board installed and programmed to existing remotes.

The call came in as “opener is dead” from a home near the Fontana High School area. The opener was a Chamberlain from 2012, and the logic board had failed, which means the motor was fine but the circuit that tells the motor what to do was gone. We replaced the board, reprogrammed the travel limits for the door’s exact height, and paired the two existing remotes in about an hour. The written quote listed the board part number and the flat labor charge before we touched a screw.

Garage Door Installation, Fontana

New Amarr garage door install in Fontana replacing a rotted wood door
Before: wood door with rotted lower panels and cracked rails. After: new energy-efficient door installed and weather-sealed.

We pulled a 25-year-old wood door off a house off Juniper Avenue that had rotted along the bottom two panels. The owner didn’t need a full redesign, just a door that closed tight and didn’t let the Santa Ana winds whistle through. We installed a new Amarr raised-panel steel door with new tracks, rollers, and weatherstripping at the jambs and threshold. The job was measured and quoted at the first visit, and the new door was ordered and installed ten days later. No surprise line items, because the written scope listed every part before it arrived.

Garage Door Parts: Broken Roller and Bent Track

Bent garage door track and broken roller in Fontana before and after repair
Before: cracked nylon roller and a track that had drifted 3/4 inch off plumb. After: new rollers and re-aligned track.

This one came in because the door would stick halfway up and then slam shut. We found a broken nylon roller on the right side and a vertical track that had drifted off plumb by about three-quarters of an inch, likely from the door getting bumped by a car bumper at some point. We replaced the full set of rollers while we were there, since the others were worn to the same age, and re-secured the track brackets with new lag bolts. The before photos showed the track gap with a level held against it, and the after photos showed the same measurement at zero. That’s the kind of documentation we hand over every time.

Emergency Garage Door: Off-Track Panel, Same-Day Save

Garage door panel off track in Fontana, emergency repair same day
Before: door panel off track and wedged at an angle. After: panel re-seated, cables re-run, door balanced.

This call came in at 6:40 p.m. from a house in the north Fontana corridor. The bottom panel had jumped the track on one side, and the cable had spooled around the drum, which put the whole door under tension. We had a technician there by 7:30, re-seated the panel, re-ran both cables, and replaced the bottom bracket that had caused the derail in the first place. The owner had the before photo series and the after photo series on their phone before the truck pulled away. That’s the emergency standard we work under, 24/7, including the night this one happened.
